Why are RSVPs important? 

There are many benefits to RSVPs in Cobu. When residents rsvp to an event, it helps onsite teams plan better. Residents have a higher commitment to attending the events and creating important real-life experiences and connections with their neighbors. 

When selecting RSVP or Express Interest in Cobu, residents also receive reminders before the event and a prompt to rate and provide feedback after the event.

All of these interactions also help Cobu identify engaged residents for the Google review outreach. 

What is the difference between RSVP and Express Interest?  

For best practices, we recommend using the ‘RSVP Required’ option for events. Use if: 

• You need a good count of residents who plan on attending (tip: if the number of spots is not limited, simply set the ‘Total Attendees’ number to 1000 or another high number)
• The number of available spots is limited 
• You want to communicate how many guests a resident can bring to an event 

When RSVP is not required, residents will see a button to ‘Express Interest’ in the app. This option is perceived as less of a commitment by residents.

With both options, residents can add the event to their calendar, will receive notifications, and will receive prompts to rate and review the event. Both are included in the RSVP count in the Cobu Dashboard.

What are some options for messaging when using RSVP?  

Cobu automatically adds below language to all events after they are created. You can change this text by editing the gathering/event: 

• RSVP is required: Please RSVP - it helps us plan better! Plus, you’ll get reminders.
• RSVP is not required: Please express interest below - it helps us plan better! Plus, you’ll get reminders.

What RSVP messaging should I use on printed materials?   

There are many ways to ask for RSVPs on your printed materials. Some options: 

• RSVP on the Cobu App
• Learn more and RSVP on Cobu
• RSVP on the Cobu App! It helps us plan better.
• Express Interest on the Cobu App
• Let us know if you’re attending on the Cobu App

On your flyers, please use the Cobu building code and QR code if possible, so residents can sign up for Cobu. Please contact us for assistance with a graphic or use the assets that are available in the Cobu Dashboard under Building Settings. 

Can I send an RSVP/Express Interest link via email to all residents?

Yes, Cobu creates a unique link for each event. Under Upcoming Gatherings on the Cobu Dashboard, select More Actions and Get RSVP link. Simply copy the link into your email. 

Registered users can RSVP/Express Interest via this web based form, and others can register for Cobu and then RSVP/Express Interest. It is a good option to increase event attendance and Cobu adoption.
